Ginger the Freeloader

This is the neighborhood cat we've taken in for about three weeks so far. For over two years now since we met her, we've been giving her some free meals out of my late stepmother's cat's food (she was put down during the summer at the ripe age of 21). Gradually, our new friend grew on us, visiting us almost on a daily basis, mewing at our door and constantly purring (especially when I'm around her). A couple of months after my stepmom's cat passed on, she has been ducking out in the attic, hiding from a HUGE creepy looking black and spotted cat that has been stalking around our house when we're not looking. Because of that, we've let her stay in our house overnight, and eventually, we've decided to keep her as our own. Cheesy story, but hey, at least I have one!

Anyway, we've aptly named her "Ginger", out of the color of her fur. It fits I guess, but I was aiming for something cuter.

Basically, I love cats as much as I love dogs, and someday I hope to adopt a kitten of my own and raise him/her all by myself.
